My research focus for Forest Spaces centers on the positive effects of nature on human health and well-being. Through my Ph.D. studies at UBC Faculty of Forestry, I am exploring how immersing oneself in a forest environment can significantly benefit mental and physical health. This research has fueled my passion for creating a space where individuals can connect with nature and benefit from its healing properties.
In addition to exploring the connection between nature and human health, I am committed to promoting sustainability and encouraging critical thinking and creativity. I believe that by combining these elements in a makerspace located within a forest environment, Forest Spaces can be a unique and transformative space for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
